Thank you for your interest in the 8th Annual San Joaquin Asparagus Festival Scholarship Pageant, Prince & Princess Program!
We are excited to invite you to participate! You have the exciting opportunity to be a QUEEN, PRINCESS or PRINCE of the festival and represent one of the most prestigious community events in the greater San Joaquin region. The queen at the pageant will serve as the Official Hostesses of the 40th Annual San Joaquin Asparagus Festival, which will be held on April 24-26, 2026.
This program was established in 2016 to give girls and women of all ages the unique opportunity to learn and grow from the exciting experience of positive pageantry!
Our Three Key Goals are as follows:
- Offer educational scholarships
- Provide leadership training & personal development
- Promote positive pageantry, community pride
& appreciation of local agriculture
Our Program Values represent our guiding principles and include:

Eligibility Requirements
The San Joaquin Asparagus Festival Scholarship Pageant Program is open to women and girls ages 13+.
The Prince and Princess Program is open to boys and girls ages 12 and under.
Your age as of April 1st determines which division you will participate in:

Prince and Princess Program $30 entry fee for boys and girls ages 12 and under - recreational, NON-competitive program - Fashion Runway & On-Stage Question

Asparagus Prince - boys ages 9 & under

Asparagus Princess - girls ages 9 & under

Mini Mr. Asparagus - boys ages 10-12

Teen Miss Asparagus Festival - ages 13-15 earns $250 cash scholarship

Miss Asparagus Festival - ages 16-18, unmarried & without children, earns $1000 cash scholarship
